How’s the Covid19 treating everyone so far? In our personal opinion, this entire year needs to be canceled and restarted BUT life doesn’t work that way. What we can do however is make the best of what’s left of this year.

While the travel restrictions are lifting, it’s too early to book tickets to far off lands. And we wouldn’t want you to take that risk either. So instead, we’ll talk about Staycations!

Think of staycations as an outing you would take your guests on when they come to visit your city. Except this time, that guest is you.

For that little extra motivation, we’ve got 5 reasons for you to take a staycation!

  1. Unwind — Staycations give you something to look forward to

While we’ve all enjoyed our lovely homes for months now, we all have also been craving that break from monotony. The restrictions on travel and moving around has created an emotional block for us that often leaves us stressed and agitated.

Covid19 has given birth to stressful moments in all our lives and the very thought of just packing up our bags and moving around gives us something to look forward to. A ray of hope with the promise of happiness. And that’s where staycations come in.

2. Unseen- Explore a side of your city you’ve never seen before

You don’t have to travel very far, you just have to get in your car and drive down a couple of kilometres to the various scenic destinations in and around where you live.

In a way, it’ll be just like your home. You can enjoy your morning cuppa like you always do, but this time with a different view and a cozy chai corner. You can work and take calls like you always do, but with a different setting, a different room, and maybe even in the arms of nature with the hills or the forests posing as your backdrop.

There are little snippets of beauty in and around your own house. All you need to do is drive that fear and stress away with road trips. Unplug from that urban life you’re so used to. Unsee the same walls of your beautiful home and step into another world.

3. Unplug — A great chance to escape from that urban life

Sometimes you don’t even need an exuberant vacation with weeks of planning. Sometimes you just need spontaneity, you need that change of pace and a chance to give yourself some space.

Distance yourself from everyday chores and routines. Unwind, relax, and just let go. This isn’t just about travel anymore. This is about rewarding yourself with that change you need. This is about change, a break worth taking, and an investment for yourself and your family.

4. Un-adult — Do it for the kids; be the kid

This hasn’t been easy for the kids either. With nothing else to do, nowhere to play, they’ve been holed up in their rooms with their gadgets. Mostly because there’s nothing else to do, but with a short trip, they too can be rewarded with that change. They can run around in luscious gardens, dump their gadgets and just experience the hills, forests, or rivers. A side of their home city they’ve never seen before.

With just a little bit of travel, a couple of days of break, so many things can be fixed. A breath of fresh air. A breather from the busy life. A chance to regain that much-needed space to allow your creativity to flow.
